Post by akshay »

I want to run my vmbox in my windows xp.Lets assume my machine config is 8 gb ram, 160 degree hdd, i5 cpu.How many vms i can create and run at a time on it?
In each vm i just want to run a browser and some simple apps (no heavy app).
How many guest virtual machines (winxp ) i can run simultanioulsy?

As many as your RAM and HDD space will allow. 1GB of memory to each guest should get you 6 but the overhead will be such that they will run really slow. Probably more like 3 to 4 with any speed at all.
