Hi!
I had a Windows 7 guest machine working right under VirtualBox 3, on a Ubuntu Host. I had to reinstall my host system, and I upgrade my VirtualBox to version 4.0.4.
But now, in my Windows 7 machine, the VBOX CD-ROM ATA DEVICE, the LPT1 port, ant the USB ports doesn't work. In the devices administrator, they appear with an exclamation, and reports code 39. Every time I boot my windows system, it tries to reinstall the drivers, and fail.
What is happening here? How can I reinstall those drivers?
Thanks!
Problem with CD-ROM, USB and LPT1

Re: Problem with CD-ROM, USB and LPT1
LPT is not supported from VBOX.
USB: Look into the Manual and FAQ and check necessary settings. Post again, if you checked it. But with an exact description, what you have checked and done. Else help is not possible.
CDROM: "Doesnt work" doesnot help. Exact description, approach, error messages, log file.

In my guest machine, the Device Administrator looks like this:stefan.becker wrote:USB: Look into the Manual and FAQ and check necessary settings. Post again, if you checked it. But with an exact description, what you have checked and done. Else help is not possible.
CDROM: "Doesnt work" doesnot help. Exact description, approach, error messages, log file.

If I tried to update the drivers, the system search, and answer me "the latest version of the drivers is installed" (the message is in spanish. I don't know the exact translation)
I also attach the log file.

Have you added the user to the group vboxusers and restarted?

I've added my user to the vboxusers in the host system, and still have the same problem.stefan.becker wrote:Have you added the user to the group vboxusers and restarted?
