Networking between two guests

Post by erbown »

Hello,

I have just installed VirtualBox 4.0.8 on Window 7 64-Bit.

I have two guests, one Windows 2003 and the other XP Pro.

Now if I have read the manual correct? I have set the networking to "Internal Network" and given both IP's on the subnet, but they will not ping one another.

Have I set this correctly or is this one of those undocumented features?

Thanks for your help.

If they are both in the same internal network and in the same IP subnet they should see each other. Ping is not the best tool to use because many modern built-in firewalls block ping by default. Try disabling the firewalls or enable ICMP echo (which ping needs).
