Intermittant Screen Size Various 'buntu 11.04s

I've noticed since I've installed a few ubuntu 11.04 based distros, mostly Lubuntu and Xubuntu based that on occasion when I boot the guest it opens at 1024x768 although most of the time it boots to 1440x900 as it should. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this, is there a fix or should I post a bug?

edit: I found the problem in one of the 11.04 based guests. In Peppermint Two which is based on Lubuntu 11.04 if you change /etc/xdg/peppermint/lxdm/lxdm.conf to autologin=<username> so you can autologin, it apparently doesn't start the guest additions.
