Hello all, I just got a big problem.

I used modifyhd command to enlarge my virtual harddisk. But I typed the wrong number of new size. Instead of 65536 (64GB), I typed 655366.

After command completed, my virtual machine could not start anymore.

Can anyone help me to solve this problem? Thanks

My host machine is Windows 2008.
VM is CentOS 5.5

I expect you've made the drive larger than your guest filesystem allows.

I know of three tools which can modify VDI size directly, that's CloneVDI, VBoxManage, and Vidma. Of these, the first two will not allow you to shrink a VDI, so they're out. You can give Vidma a try, but I've never used it myself and can't make any promises about how well it will work. It's a simple command line tool, so I suggest you take care this time! Use your previously intended size as the target, don't try to squeeze down to the old size, as a mistake could lose actual data off the drive.
