VRDP with Windows XP Home Guest?

Post by wdorfmann »

I have been unsuccessful getting VRDP working against a windows XP Home (Service Pack 3) guest. I would appreciate any advice about how to get this working.

One thing that I have not seen answered is this: Windows RDP server capabilities are not supported on XP Home (only on XP Pro). Does VirtualBox VRDP server work with XP Home?

I am running VirtualBox 4.0.8 on Mac OS X Snow Leopard. I have installed the extension pack as instructed in the user manual.

Thank You

VRDP runs on the Host side. The Guest doesn't matter. So when using VRDP, connect to the Host IP, not the Guest IP.
