2 WinXP Guests on a HP ProLiant Linux Cluster - HDD Crashs
Posted: 4. Jun 2011, 09:29
Good Morning Everyone,
i hope i could get some new inspiration - i am facing a curios problem.
Host : Debian ProLiant DL 385 AMD Server, 11GB RAM, SCSI RAID 1, Clustered with drbd, ocfs2 - the vm-disks lying on ocfs (!)
Guest : Easiest way build - a win xp system, available 3,5gb of ram, swap space only 2 gb, 2 growing partitions (boot and programs)
Virtualbox from Debian Backports - 4.0.6 with GuestAdditions 4.0.6 - all is administrated HEADLESS.
The XP Clients are freezing from time to time, i searched for the reason and it seems like it is "under heavy io circumstances" the guest freezes and quit working, the guest must be manually poweroff and up again - most times there is data-loss.
Logs (english and if German avail in "[]" ):
Windows (immediately before freeze) :
Virtualbox (SystemInfo)
VBoxLogs dont say something specific
rsync is running in the night, the vm freezes at 3 am - rsync runs at 5 am
and after all - dmesg tells me it is switiching between promiscous mode (enter/left) - i have a BRIDGED network.
vbox-conf
I would be very happy if someone could give me some light out here in the dark
Got someone a good Idea?
