Virtual Box 4.0.8
Host is Windows 2008 Foundation
Guest is SBS 2008
I'm able to boot fine in safe mode or safe mode w/ networking and install guest addtions. But I am unable to boot SBS normal mode. It hangs at "applying computer settings" Using Intel Desktop MT Nics in VM and have tried "Server" nics too. Have tried "nat", "not attached", "cable connected", "cable disconnected" Also tried rolling back to 4.0.4 as someone at storagecraft suggested with no luck.
Not sure where to go next. Perhaps a log or something may point me in the right direction. Any ideas??
Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: SBS 2008 Guest hangs at applying computer settings
I would not use any of those network settings for SBS. SBS must run as a domain controller and really needs to be in its own network with a static IP address. I would use an internal network.

Re: SBS 2008 Guest hangs at applying computer settings
This happened to us as well except it was SBS 2011. During install of SBS 2011 we read documentation that explains IPv6 needs to be disabled. This was wrong. Disabling IPv6 is what causes the server to hang on boot. If you wait long enough the boot process will finish but it takes around 40 minutes. All we had to do was reenable IPv6 and the server started booting properly. Hope this helps.
