Where does my filesystem go?

Post by glob157 »

Hi Guys : I noticed that Every time I restart Ubuntu, it asks me to install the OS , and all my files from my last virtual box usage are gone. Am I using VirtualBox incorrectly ? I simply launch it, and click my "Ubuntu" installation.

Before you start it the next time make sure you remove the Ubuntu installation CD/DVD from the emulated CD drive - why else do you think the installer comes up again and again?

That's assuming that you have actually installed Ubuntu, and haven't just been "test driving" the live cd.
