Protocal Error??

Post by wolver »

I manage to have virtualbox-guest installed on my archlinux(guest, win7 is the host). however i could not mount host's share folder. but i could mount it by using: mount.cifs //IP/<share folder> /mnt/share but using this method i could not rewake after long time idle. i cant reach to the mounted folder again.

after lsmod |grep "vbox" I got following message:
vboxvideo 1137 1
drm 144679 2 vboxvideo
vboxsf 31969 0
vboxguest 131689 4 vboxsf

it seemed that i have the vboxsf installed. why could i mount the share folder directly? please help me according the information given above.

thx!

Have you checked the tutorials section? I have two howto's for GA installation and SF usage. Please read them first. And you don't give much information, we're missing the name of the SF, the mount command, other settings. Plenty to go around.
