How to check how much preserved space has been used?

Post by jiapei100 »

How to check how much preserved space has been used by VirtualBox already?
For example, I preserved a fixed size hard drive (say, 100 giga) for Linux (namely, Windows host + Linux Guest).
How to check how much space already used by Linux Guest?

If you created a fixed size drive of 100GB, then it has a fixed size - 100GB - right from the start.

If you really created a dynamic drive with maximum size 100GB, then you can check the VDI file size with your host OS, or view its virtual and actual sizes inside the VirtualBox GUI application, "File | Virtual Media Manager".
