Failed to restore VM state

Post by user01 »

Hello,

I am new here and sorry for my bad english.

I try to start the Windows guest on a Debian/Lenny host.
When I click on the Button "Start" the error Message:

Failed to restore VM state
from /home/user01/.VirtualBox/Machines/WindowsXP/Snapshots/{f80d7654-e396-4ba0-4e81-fd9e3f5b558c}.sav' (VERR_SSM_LOADED_TOO_MUCH}.

VBox status code: -1819 {VERR_SSM_LOADED_TOO_MUCH}.

Fehlercode: 0x80004005
Komponente: Console
Interface: |Console {1dea5c4b-0753-4193-b909-22330f64ec45}

In the grafical user interface, it is impossible to change the "settings" or "Delete" the WindowsXP Machine. The Button is deactivated. Status of the machine is "saved".

Please, have someone a answer or can help me?

Thank you.

Did you update VirtualBox recently? As far as I saw, in Lenny the version changed recently from 1.5.2 to 1.5.4. Please make sure that you discard or delete all snapshots before you upgrade VirtualBox.

Ok, thanks you Frank.
After I delete all Snapshots, VB works well. :-)
