NSS on XP no go after upgrading to VB4.0.6

If you are running XP SP3 on a Mac Host, and use the Comcast sponsored Norton Security Suite (NSS), do not upgrade to VB4.0.6. This breaks NSS. I went all the way to the mat with Norton (4 levels of "supervisors" in India, and 2 "Case Managers" in California), who tried everything, and conclude they don't support "virtualization schemes", but I got it working by downgrading back to VB4.0.4.

I'm hoping this is fixed in a future version. BTW, the VB4.0.8 changelog makes no mention of fixing the incompatibility with Norton Security Suite.

Fix it yourself, throw that software to garbage.

These type of software is known to make problems, not only noton and on real hardware, too.

Use Windows Firewall, use MS Security Essentials.

Same function, but always working.

Indeed. I gave up on Norton many years ago. Why make life difficult for yourself?

Why do you feel that you need NSS in a virtual machine? Does it have a direct connection to the Internet using a registered public IP?
