Hi all!!
i'm trying to run a VM without vrde with the option --vrde off.
i want to know if its possible to create & run guests without VRDE(VirtualBox Remote Desktop Extension) IF the option of --vrde exists there may be a way to create and manage VM's without it. i tried "VBoxManage --startvm "VMname" --vrde=off " and it happens the same thing as with vrde=on exept the line of "VRDE server listining on port XXXX" and i can't do nothing with it.
any sugestions?

VBoxHeadless --startvm <uuid|name> --vrde=off disables vrde for that session.
Which means you can not remote into the guest using the host IP and port of the guest.
So what is it you are wanting?

i guess i dind't explained very well. what i have done is this. i installed VBox in my Linux Server. i have been creating guests using putty & mstsc.exe(windows vrde program) with a Windows pc. my server and my VM's are headless.
As i'm using linux for my host & guest its a little bit stupid what i'm doing. using a remote pc with Windows to manage the virtualization. what i want to know is how to use my server to manage and see the VM's without using mstsc.exe only with ssh.
what i have done till know works perfectly any VM, i can share folders,... but i don't what to use a Windows Pc to manage all these.

I would normally suggest you use a linux rdp client (search your distro for the right one to fit your needs) but these rely on X and your server more than likely does not have it installed. Not much else you can do unless you want to install X on the server AFAIK.

as you said my server doesn't have X. so with VBox you can't virtualize guests in you own host with only ssh i guess then?.
before trying VBox i gave a try to KVM. with KVM you can create, manage and do whatever you want with the guests in the server console, so with VBOX there isn't anything similar to that?.
so VRDE is is the protocol VirtualBox uses to forward the display of a VM running on a headless system to a GUI-inclined client machine.
there isn't a way to do this only with the host, so no clients GUI-inclined are needed¿?

See Chapter 8 of your VirtualBox users manual. You can do anything you want in CLI to manage the install or change guest settings. With guestcontrol you can actually run certain things inside the guest from the host.
