Hello,
I have a windows-host linux-guest environment with host-only configured. How can I access internet within the linux guest by still keeping the host-only configuration?
Thanks a lot for the help.

Re: Access internet with host-only configuration
You can add a second adapter set to NAT.

Re: Access internet with host-only configuration
i currently configured two adapters host-only and internal. I tried to add a third one with NAT. Upon rebooting, the broswer keeps spinning with a blank page. This is different from without the NAT, which is page not found error. Anything else I need to do?
Thanks,
Thanks,

Re: Access internet with host-only configuration
Why do you need the Internal adapter? Is it configured to do anything specific in the guest?
Check for firewall issues host or guest.

Re: Access internet with host-only configuration
yeah i have RAC setup on two vboxes. I verified the firewall on host machine is off. Client side disable firewall is one of the first things I did during the Linux OS install...

Re: Access internet with host-only configuration
Some virus software can cause this issue.
Have you tried normal network tests to see if it is DNS, or other problems?
To test DNS in a browser try the ip address of a web site instead of the url (friendly name)
See if you can ping the ip of your router. Maybe setting the 3rd to Bridged instead of NAT.
