Grub2 is such a pain (rawdisk)

Hi - Just to share, if it might help somebody. I'm using Win7 as a host and Kubuntu as guest that can also be booted directly, as it uses a physical partition (when booting natively, I use Win7 BCD to choose system and when booting Kubuntu under Win7 I use a container that only access to the Linux partition and uses a grub IPL). When I upgraded to 11.04, I could not have my dual boot on physical partition to work any more. After 2 days of investigations, the issue is that Grub2 does not install itself anymore in the Partition Boot Sector (PBR), it always installs on the MBR+embedded (disk sectors < 63), even when forced to go PBR and tries to access these sectors at boot time, sectors that are not accessible in the container ... only solution = move back to grub1
