Hi. I'm running VirtualBox 4.0.6 r71344 on my Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx 64-bit system. I have successfully set up and used various VirtualBox guests in the past (Windows XP, Windows 7 Professional, Fedora 14).

I never had a problem with VirtualBox until I tried installing Guest Additions on a Kubuntu 10.10 32-bit guest. I go to the Devices menu and click "Install Guest Additions" and...nothing happens. No window pops up, no error message, nothing. I have tried:
* restarting the Kubuntu guest
* restarting my Ubuntu host
* deleting and then recreating my Kubuntu guest
* uninstalling and reinstalling VirtualBox
* manually mounting the Guest Additions ISO through the Devices > CD/DVD Devices menu

Still no luck. Is this a Kubuntu issue? I've never had trouble installing Guest Additions on my other guests.

Mount in a guest command window (xterm) with mount command.
