Error in importing ova-appliance file

Hi,
trying to import Oracle's appliance file:
Solaris_11_Express_Developer_VM.ova
does not succeed. VirtualBox says
"The appliance <path>\Solaris_11_Express_Developer_VM.ova could not be imported.
Could not read OVF file Solaris_11_Express_Developer_VM.ovf"
What is the problem and how can I resolve it?
