Hello

Right now I am using Backtrack 4 r2 as my host OS and Windows XP as my guest OS. now I am facing problem in setting up my networking part. I am not able to setup that as per my need. Can anyone here help me? The way I wanted to configure my Virtual Box is given below:

DETAILS

I want that both of my OS guest one and host one can access Internet. But guest OS should have a Internal IP not a IP provided by my ISP.
While I am using NAT or bridged networking, I am able to connect to Internet but my IP when typing ipconfig on command prompt in XP shows a IP given by ISP. That's what I don't want. I want a Internal IP like 192.168.100.54 or 10.0.56.43 etc.

Can anyone please help me!! I had tried everything that i could. but still not able to resolve the problem. Please help me guys!!! :(

Use NAT, should you still see a ISP ip in the Guest then flush the dhcp values, VBox should provide a local one.

Type ipconfig /? in the windows guests terminal to see the commands.
ipconfig /release or ipconfig /renew..
