Wifi inside Virtualbox

Post by bushbarack »

Hi guys,

I wanted to ask you, how to configure virtualbox to be able to scan real wifi networks. Can you help me?

Thanks,

George

AFAIK you're talking about bridging a physical NIC to a virtual machine, so that the virtual machine can do wireless tricks, and that's notoriously unreliable if the NIC is a wifi card. You might be able to do it using an access point with custom firmware (openwrt ddwrt, etc), connected to a standard NIC, bridged into the VM in that manner.

Just a suggestion, I imagine there are other ways.
