Hi.
I'm having this one of a kind problem with with my machine -- and it appears to be cross platform, i.e. on any guest OS (on Linux host), when I enable hardware virtulization, the host freezes completely within a few minutes of operation and I have to hard reset.
I've only enabled AMD-V, not nested paging since the feature is missing from my CPU, vme is there. The KVM modules are not loaded.
Host freezes with hardware virtulization.
Re: Host freezes with hardware virtulization.
KVM might not be loaded but are you sure there is nothing else thats part of KVM that isn't loaded like a kernel hook? if this only happens when using vt-x then clearly someone is fighting over its control, either that or the bios has a bug.

Re: Host freezes with hardware virtulization.
I'm actually running a custom kernel, and have not build KVM modules.

It appears I'm the only one who has faced these problems.
