I have successfully upgraded three systems to VB 4.0.4, but upgrade #4 refuses to cooperate. In particular, the mouse is not captured properly in the guests when in full screen mode. The mouse pointer jumps erratically and frequently vanishes entirely. VB 3.2.10 works flawlessly on the same system. This behavior is the same for Ubuntu 10.10 and eCS 2.0. I have not installed the Guest Additions for OS/2, so for that guest the mouse problem is the same when in FS, scaled, or windowed mode. I should also mention that this is a dual monitor set up. I use the secondary display for the guests. I built this system a couple of months ago so the drivers are quite up-to-date. Here are the system specs:
Win XP SP3
Gigabyte 870A-UD3
AMD Phenom II Quad core
4 GB RAM
AMD 5750 HD graphics
Logitech MX310 optical mouse
Monitor #1 @ 1024 x 768
Monitor #2 @ 1920 x 1200
Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance,
Bennie Nelson

Re: VB 4.0.4 mouse problem
If you hit CTRL i to turn off mouse integration, is there any difference in the way the mouse behaves?
