Can't get seamless mode to work well

Post by ChrisNelson1022 »

I have Windows 7 running as a guest under VB 4.0.4r70112 on a Ubuntu 10.04 host with the current Guest Additions installed. When I try to switch to seamless mode is sort of works but when I move a guest window, it is never redrawn correctly, a strip along at least one side is missing. Even switching workspaces doesn't fix it. Sometimes moving the window just a few pixels does.

I don't mind turning off some W7 eye candy if that will help but I don't know that it will. If others are having the problem, I'd like to know I'm not alone. If others aren't, it would be nice to know what I can do to make it better.

If it matters, I have a 2-monitor setup but am having these problems while I restrict myself to one monitor (the other is active but showing the Linux wallpaper).

Well, I don't have any problems with my W7 VM. This is what I have:
- Xubuntu 10.10
- Windows 7 Pro
- GA installed, with 3D enabled (but that doesn't matter)
- Dual monitor set up, nVidia TwinView

I can move a window to any place without it getting cut off.
