I've installed VB 4.0.4 on Windows 7 Pro 64-bit.
When trying to install 32-bit Ubuntu 10.10, the installation hangs after establishing a username and password. It gets to a screen where the files are copying and finally stops with the displayed message, "Ready when you are." The "Forward" button remains grayed out.
Thinking I might have a corrupt ISO file, I downloaded Ubuntu all over again, but I get the same result. I can choose the initial option to try out Ubuntu before installing. That works OK, but I cannot install. Searching this forum turns up no similar posts or answer.
Thanks,
Ron

Re: Ubuntu installation hangs
If you want to be sure that the ISO isn't corrupted, check the hash that's available on the website of Ubuntu. Another thing you can do is use the Alternative installer.
