Virtual Box IP networking problem

Post by trip2898 »

Hi,

I am trying to establish a virtual web server by installing Fedora 14 on VirtualBox under Window 7. However, I have no success on configuration on this system. I have a web sever installed home with Linksys router. So, if I type 192.168.xx.x then I will see the website but no success here. If you have a clue or better idea to make it work please feel free to drop me a line.

Thank you so much for helping.

Sincerely,

me

From the hosts terminal/command window type VBoxManage showvminfo <VM Name> --details and post here. Replace <VM Name> with the actual name of the VM. Use "" if the name has a space in it.

Note if the host is Windows you need to be in the directory that has VBoxManage.exe for the command to work.

Switch to Bridged or use port forwarding.
See Chapter 6.3 Network Address Translation (NAT) in your VirtualBox users manual.
