Hi,
I have VB404 running on host Mac OSX, and Centos5 64bit as guest.
I have a web-based application runnig within guest OS Centos5 (4Gb RAM allocated). This web-based application will access the PostgreSQL DB occasionally, ie not data-intensive.
I will access the web-based application from my host machine.
The above setup is only meant for demo, not production runs.
For my case, should I install the PostreSQL onto the mac osx host or within the VM Centos5 for optimum performance ?
Your advice appreciated, rgds.
Application+DB on host vs on VM
Re: Application+DB on host vs on VM
For demo purposes it makes little difference, but you could make another VM just for DB access. I'd keep the Host clean.
