As far as I understood Direct3D support in VirtualBox for a Windows guest is based on wined3d.
I wonder if therefore the registry settings described here http://wiki.winehq.org/UsefulRegistryKeys would also work for wined3d within a Windows guest. The reason for asking is that there isn't a HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine entry in the guest's registry.
