Adding usb ports , cd/dvd drives

Post by weezer »

Hi, my host computer runs win7 and the guest is win xp. I have installed the program fine and it works well. I just can't work out how to get the guest(xp) to be able to use the cd/dvd drive and the usb ports. Have read a lot here and can't figure it out. It may sound simple but I'm stuck:( Could anyone tell me how to find out which version I'm using and also the steps to take to make the guest have full functions of the host cd/dvd drive and usb ports. Any advice much appreciated. Thanks in advance:)

In the guest window, there are menus. One of the menu choice is "activate USB/DVD/..." just check it and the guest will be able to see the USB or DVD or whatever.
