Hello,
Installed opensuse 11.4 in virtual box 4.0.4 r70112 (seemed just fine, no error or warnings or so).
But it doesn't start it gets stuck immediately after these lines:
INIT: version 2.88 booting
System Boot Control: Running /etc/init.d/boot
mounting mandatory filesystems ... done
Any help is most welcomed.
thanks & regards,
choklad

Re: opensuse 11.4 in virtual box (boot problem)
Hi@all
I have exactly the same problem with VirtualBox 3.2.12 OSE on FreeBSD 8.2 amd64. And it looks like this happens after installing some X related stuff inside openSUSE 11.4 guest.
The minimal 11.4 installation was able to boot after installation.

Re: opensuse 11.4 in virtual box (boot problem)
You dont have the same problem. Other host, other (to old) version, no infos. Please make an own thread.
@ Threadstarter: Have you enabled USB in the guest settings? If yes, try to disable it.

Re: opensuse 11.4 in virtual box (boot problem)
See this thread:
http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=35850
where using the "nopreload" boot option made booting possible. It worked for me on 11.4 also.

HI @all
This Append Option solves also my problem on the FreeBSD host using VB 3.2.12.
Thanx!
