OK: There is any error on some host by installation of unknown guests in not named VBOX Versions with a secret guest configuration. And thats on not existing hardware!

No problem, i will search for.

Stefan,
I get this same error when trying to create a new Win 2003 Server (32 bit).
The install CD used to work fine in older versions of VBox. I even tried creating an iso thinking it might operate differently. (Just me being crazy)
Host = Win7 64 Bit
VBox Ver: 4.0.2

I dont want to search for Bugs :)

But a thread like this is nonsense.

There are no infos. The weather in the news have more infos for the developers to find errors like posted in this thread from the TE.

If someone has a problem, then open a thread with full infos like hardware, host-os, vbox version and logfile.

Best thing is now to close this :)

Stefan,
Sorry, I was just saying I have come across this same problem.
If I get time this weekend I will experiment further and create a new case with all details unless Capri beats me to it :)

This message can be caused by many problems - but it usually means what it says, which is "no bootable medium found". I.e. none of the virtual drives attached to the virtual machine (and included the boot order) contain a bootable disk. Some of the most common newbie mistakes are (a) thinking that VirtualBox can somehow "boot" without an operating system being installed first, (b) sticking a CD in the host drive, forgetting that the virtual machine will not look at physical drives unless you tell it to, and (c) incorrectly assuming that some random CD marked "Windows XX" is a bootable setup disk (in fact it may be not bootable and/or not a setup cd).

Capri, Frodo, both please read the Forum Posting Guide and VirtualBox FAQ. Stefan has been very patient here, I would've personally locked this thread a lot sooner after giving this advise and people didn't follow it (given, Stefan didn't exactly link to the FPG, but he did to the FAQ!).
Read the Forum Posting Guide before opening a topic.
VirtualBox FAQ: Check this before asking questions.
Online User Manual: A must read if you want to know what we're talking about.
Howto: Install Linux Guest Additions
Howto: Use Shared Folders on Linux Guest
See the Tutorials and FAQ section at the top of the Forum for more guides.
Try searching the forums first with Google and add the site filter for this forum.
E.g. install guest additions site:forums.virtualbox.org
