Installing RHEL 5.1 on VirtualBox
Posted: 8. Mar 2011, 23:15
Hi,
When trying to install RHEL 5.1 on a Virtual Box installation, below question is driving me crazy:
"What type of media contains the packages to be
installed"
Any option chosen (CDROM, Harddisk, FTP, HTTP) does not work.
I can boot my RHEL ISO DVD, but when getting prompted for above and chosing CDROM, it cant find the "Enterprise Linux CD" - maybe something with the CROM settings, but I have googled and done trial-and-error based on this info, but it has not gotten me anywhere.
Also tried FTP - using updates.redhat.com, and then inserting /pub/mirrors/redhat/I386_ as path to directory (based on Google info).
Can anyone help me out of this mess?
Best regards
Thomas Nielsen
