On virtualbox the resolution on windows XP changes to SVGA whenever I launch a directX app that changes to full screen mode
How do you fix that issue

Guest specs:
Windows XP SP3
RAM: 1906mb
VRAM: 16mb
Guest addons: 4.04 (no direct3d installed)
Video acceleration: Not enabled

Host specs:
Model: HP dv4-2145dx
RAM: 4gb
VRAM: 128mb
CPU speed: 2.30GHz

You need to install the guest additions (in safe mode) and select 3D.
Shut down the guest and enable 3D/2D in the guest settings.
See if that works better.
