I just installed and updated the latest Peppermint Linux as a guest. The Live CD was using around 150MBs of RAM. After installing to the VD and updating it was down around 128MBs or so. Once I installed the guest additions memory usage shot up to nearly 490 MB with nothing running. I have the previous version of Peppermint and I can run FF, VLC, a calculator, xcompmgr the terminal and a couple other things and it never gets to 500MB. Does anyone have an idea what might be going on?
