Windows 98 Speed Problems

Post by jacob-x »

I installed SciTech Display Doctor in Windows 98. It increases the resolution and color depth, but it still runs really slowly. If you (the reader) are on the VirtualBox team, can you please make guest additions for Windows 98? If not, do you have any suggestions on how to improve the speed?

If the market for Win98 applications should suddenly and dramatically improve, I'm sure that guest additions will be written. If you are offering to pay money equivalent to a sudden and dramatic improvement in the Win98 market, then I'm sure that Win98 guest additions could be written.

Otherwise, if I were you I wouldn't hold my breath while waiting for Win98 GAs to arrive.

In the meantime you can read the Win98 tips in the "Howtos and Tutorials" area.
