Hi Everyone,

I am a beginner and i have fedora 14 guest on windows xp host. I am using my company network and i have changed the proxy settings accordingly at System -> Preferences -> Network proxy . After i reboot the guest there is no proxy setting which i changed earlier. Also any file created does not remain when start the fedora guest next time.

Kindly help me out with this. Am i missing anything.

Are you using a fedora live cd? Try, when the VM starts and shows the Virtualbox splash screen, clicking "remove disk from virtual drive" button on the "machine" menu. Then reboot the guest (hard reboot, i.e. close the VM and click the "power off the machine" radio button, then start the VM again) and enter the settings one last time. When you reboot (normally) they should still be there.

Hope I helped!

The above only works if you actually installed the OS onto a VDI. If you just boot the VM and make the changes, they won't be there even if you do the above.
