Hi, I've been using Ubuntu for a little while, as my primary OS, but I am by no means proficient with Linux, otherwise.
Occasionally I switch to Windows Vista to do something, but not often.
I used the package manager to install VirtualBox 3.1.6_OSE, hoping I could eliminate the need to restart my computer in order to switch between OS's.
I haven't seen anything about loading an existing OS into VirtualBox.
My Windows and Ubuntu are on separate hard drives, as opposed to partitions.

Is it possible boot into the already existing Windows drive through VirtualBox (or any other way), or would I have to make a virtual drive and install Vista onto that?

Look into the Tutorial Section, there are several howtos for this.
