Ubuntu 10.10: Lenovo Trackpad Scrolling not working

Hello,
as you can read from the topic title, I cannot scroll in Ubuntu 10.10 on a Win 7 Host with a Lenovo L412 (VBox 4.0.4 OSE). When I press the middle "mouse" button, the mouse cursor changes to a scrolling symbol, but i cannot scroll moving the trackpad.
So far I have:
- updated and upgraded Ubuntu 10.10
- added the Virtual Box Guest additions
- updated my Lenovo UltraNav Drivers to the latest version
- made sure the Synaptics TouchPad driver for X is installed, but as far as I understand that doesn't do anything because VBox recognizes the trackpad as a generic mouse.
- I tried this workaround here: http://kailapis.wordpress.com/2009/08/2 ... irtualbox/ (adding some lines to some synaptics .dat files in Windows, to chnage the behaviour of the vbox)
In Ubuntu's mouse preferences, I can only change settings for left and right click, no middle mouse button seems to be available.
I think that's what I tried so far, I will add more if I can think of it.
