Cant install Windows 98 due to strange characters, cant read

I created the Virtual Machine, then i am trying to install windows 98 SE but after reading the CD and loading the CD driver it loads the installation page (the blue one) but i cannt read anything because everything is strange characters, the arrows allows to move, if i click "enter" it goes to next page but i dont know what i am doing...
have anyone has this issue before?
My host computer is a windows 7 professional installed on a dell xps 15 with 8GB ram.

A screenshot would help. Have you checked out the
Tutorials and Rules/FAQ section for instructions on how to get 9x working on VB?

I've never had any luck with 98 on vb. I wound up having to use MS Virtual PC for it

I had the same problem.
Go to Oracle virtualbox and then the settings of your W98 created virtual box.
Undo the VT ???? something and undo the usb ports. That worked for me.

Hi! I have the same problem. I solved it editing the config.sys file on the boot disk. You need to delete the line "device=display.sys con=(ega,,1)"
