I'm having trouble with scrolling pages with my mouse wheel in a Linux guest on VirtualBox. The mouse is a Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 2.0, which apparently has a high-resolution mouse wheel. Scrolling problems with high-res wheels have been reported in Java. I also found a VB bug that resembles my scrolling issue.
Does VirtualBox have a similar problem with high-res mouse wheel scrolling?
Fedora 8 guest on Windows Vista host, VirtualBox 1.5.4.

possible fix
I was able to get my high resolution wireless optical mouse 2.0 to work by installing the mouse driver on the guest OS (xp in my case) and oddly enough setting the scroll rate to the slowest possible setting (faster made it worse to the point of not working). I also turned off the acceleration feature. It isn't as smooth as the host OS, but it is very usable now. Hope this helps!

For mouse wheel you have to edit xorg.conf => ZAxisMapping.
