Share folder between ubuntu and mac os X

hi every one
i am on mac ox X.6.6, in my VB 4 i have an ubuntu 10 (with guest additions)
i used the followign process
i have created a folder "oasis" in my "home/public" folder with all autorizations of write and read
i have given this folder to VB as "shared folder" with "automount" option
in the past this used to work very well on an other mac
when i went to "network" in my ubuntu, then somethung related to mac os X used to appear and i had access to "oasis"
but now, nothing
only a "reseau window"
i feel a bit lost
if anyone can help me !..

Make sure that you have added the Linux "guests" user name to the Linux "guests" vboxsf users group. Then after a reboot look in /media/<share name>_SF for you files.
