NAT network questions

Hello,

I have a couple of questions related to a VM's NAT network address range.

1. How do I find out what the range is (other than booting the VM)? Is it possible to find it out using VBoxManage?

2. I tried changing the address range to 192.168/24 by running VBoxManage modifyvm "Solaris" --natnet1 192.168/24, which completed without reporting any errors. However, when I booted the VM it was still using the default (i.e. 10.0.2.x).

I am running VirtualBox 3.2.6 on Solaris 10.

Thanks,

Tony.

The manual states which IP address the VM will get. By default, the first NIC will get 10.0.2.15, the second 10.0.3.15, etc.

As for the changed range, you probably made a mistake somewhere and forgot to add an option/parameter even though there was no error generated. The range you had to provide for example might have been 192.168.4/24.
