Hello Everyone... Greetings.
I am totally new to Virtual Machines, let alone VirtualBox. But I intend to learn VirtualBox and its intricacies. A third-party system/network administrator has given me the following information related to a VM.
> VM Name : <vm_name>
> VM Name in cluster : <vmcluster>
> IP : <some IP>
> RAM : 2 GB
> No. of CPU : 2
> Hard Disk : 17.7 GB , 18.7 GB
> Operating System : Linux
> Network Interface Card (NIC) : 2
> Apache version : 2.2.3 (i.e. default)
I have the following doubts.
1) Does this mean the host platform is Linux?
2) Can I manage this VM using VirtualBox, remotely?
3) If I need XP, can I install on this VM?
4) Which type( as in Windows or Linux) of VirtualBox release should I download?
Please pardon me, if this is a wrong section or already been answered in other threads.
Thanks for reading and Appreciate your help. Cheers.
VM Noob Here. Experts please help me decipher this.

Sorry, but after seeing "VM cluster", I know that it's not VB. VB doesn't have clusters like that. It's probably from a competitor.
If you don't know what virtualiser is used, ask the one who gave you the information. He obviously failed to tell you that and you can't work without that vital part of information.
