install a vm on a computer as an independent os

I have an Ubuntu server running on my virtualbox and I have it set up to be a webserver. I don't want to go through the process and redo everything on my actual server. So how can I take my vm and install it on to my server ether through an ISO or push it through the network and how would I do it?

Put v2p site:forums.virtualbox.org in google to see some hints.
You more than likely will have problems though due to the difference in the virtual and real hardware.
Not that is is impossible but I wonder if the time it takes to do this is going to require about the same amount of energy to just do it live and move the configs and other data from the virtual to the physical.

You can install a package called "remastersys" (found at http://www.geekconnection.org/remastersys/) -- it does almost exactly what you want: you can create a re-spun ISO image from your installed VM. That ISO image can be used to re-install your guest OS on your server. You'll want to use remastersys's "backup" mode for this.
