RDP Guest: Windows Server 2008 R2 - Host Suse 11.4

Dear Forum,

What I want to do is connect to server1 via Windows RDP. The service is enabled on the guest OS, and I have applied the NAT rules as follows:

Key: VBoxInternal/Devices/pcnet/0/LUN#0/Config/server2rdp/HostPort, Value: 3389
Key: VBoxInternal/Devices/pcnet/0/LUN#0/Config/server2rdp/Protocol, Value: TCP

I have the following configuration:
-Host OS: Suse Linux 11.4
-Guests:
--Windows Small Business Server Standard (server1)
--Windows Server 2008 R2 (server2)

Both systems are networked in NAT mode and have an IP address from virtual box.

I did this by runnig the following codes via ssh:

VBoxManage setextradata server2 "VBoxInternal/Devices/pcnet/0/LUN#0/Config/srvenomos1rdp/HostPort" 3389

VBoxManage setextradata server2 "VBoxInternal/Devices/pcnet/0/LUN#0/Config/srvenomos1rdp/GuestPort" 3389

VBoxManage setextradata server2 "VBoxInternal/Devices/pcnet/0/LUN#0/Config/srvenomos1rdp/Protocol" TC

I can yet not establish any kind of connection, what shall I do?

Did you use the IP address from the Host to connect RDP to the Guest ?

Yes I used the public IP of the SUSE Host

What version of VirtualBox are you actually using? There was a change in syntax some time ago.
Not to mention that the OSE version before 4.0.* (stated in your profile) did not support VRDP.

The public ip? did you forward 3389 from your router to your host? can you try "private_host_ip:3389" from another machine on your lan?

Or simply connect to localhost from the Host itself?

In other words, some more information would be helpful.
