I am currently having a problem with Direct3D in Virtualbox. I installed the Guest Additions in Safe Mode, but when I opened the DirectX Diagnostics Tool it says that Direct3D functionality is not available. I have no problem with Direct3D before I updated to 4.0, but it seems that the trick won't work.
Can anybody tell me why?

Does anyone have a solution, or could point me in the right direction?
