GeoMedia pro 6.1 freezing up in VB (Mac host, win7 guest)

GMP freezes when I try to rearrange order of items on legend. WorKed fine for first several modules of GMP tutorial.
Can this be a result of virtual memory issues? Host memory issues? MacHD IS approaching 85% full.
Any general help or suggestions welcome. I'm going to try reinstalling GMP to start.
I'm wondering too if there are settings issues for the virtual machine that I may need to change?
