Guest 2D performance is lower in 4.0, than it was in 3.2.8

Guest 2D performance is lower in 4.0, than it was in 3.2.8
dragging windows and resizing was much smoother in 3.2.8, and running perfectdisk in the guest the ui actually lags heavily between making selections.
