Hello all!
I am new to Virtual Box and I am having issues getting it to function correctly on my iMac v10.6.6 with 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 2GB DDR2 SDRAM. I followed the guide here: http://blog.affirmix.com/2009/04/01/ie6 ... p-by-step/. I went to the following link to download all my Virtual environments and converted them all successfully to a .raw then to a .vdi: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/d ... laylang=en.

1. - I opened up VirtualBox then went to File>Virtual Media Manager and attached the IE6.vdi I created successfully.

• - Then I returned to the VirtualBox home screen and clicked "New".

• - Clicked continue, named my new Virtual environment, selected Microsoft Windows and Windows XP then clicked continue.

• - Set the designated memory to 350MB which I read is the value to use from here (http://blog.mozmonkey.com/2008/vpc-ie6- ... -mac-os-x/) then clicked continue.

• - Then I finished the setup and returned to the VirtualBox home screen.

• - Now my new Virtual environment is on the left, so I select it and click "Start".

• - Just like the instructions point out in the first link above, I push F8 immediately and attempt to boot up in "Safe Mode".

• - Windows then loads everything and I am brought to windows error popup screen that states the following:
  
  1. (Title Bar text): winlogon.exe - Entry Point Not Found
     (Description text): The procedure entry point 1Unknown_AddRef_Proxy could not be located in the dynamic link library RPCRT4.dll

• - The cursor is stuck on the screen and I am unable to click "OK" and here is where I am completely stuck...

I tried installing the Oracle VM VirtualBox Extension pack (latest as of 20 minutes ago) hoping this would fix my issue, but no luck...

If anyone can assist me with fixing this issue and getting WindowsXP SP3 IE6 up and running, I would greatly appreciate it!

Guess I will have to search other places for help with VirtualBox other than the VirtualBox official community board...

Nevermind. I extracted the file using Zipeg and it worked just fine.

I followed the exact same guides and produced exactly the same error message. Any help would be appreciated! Trying to get XPSP3-IE6 to work.

EDIT: you need to use Zipeg to extract the .exe
