I have XP installed under 4.0.2 (host: Mepis Linux 8.5).
I have installed guest additions. I add a USB filter to attach my Lexmark X1270 All-in-one Printer. XP recognizes new hardware, but when I try to set it up, only the scanner portion is recognized.

Add your user name to the lp group on the host.

Remember that a log off is minimum for permissions to change.
