Win7 guest can not communicate w/ Network Printer
Host system is (K)ubuntu 10.10 64bit w/ latest KDE updates.
Running VirtualBox 4.0.2 64bit
Guest system is Win7 32bit
Guest system is online and routing w/ valid IP address from home network. When attempting to install printer drivers for an HP 3055 all-in-one printer, the guest system is able to locate and correctly recognize the printer on the network.
The Host and other computers (Win & Ubuntu) on network are able to locate and print to printer.
The guest OS has the correct printer drivers (current, downloaded from HP.com) installed, and installer detects the printer. When attempting to print / test the printer, I get an error message indicating that it is unable to communicate with the printer.
Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions as to how to correct or address this issue?
Is this question should be pointed elsewhere, then please let me know.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Win7 guest can not communicate w/ Network Printer
I doubt that it has anything to do with VirtualBox. If you are using bridged networking and the vm has an IP in the same IP subnet as the printer, it should make no difference that it is a virtual machine. The network protocols have no way of telling the difference.
